Earlier today I watered my Pothos. I proceeded to water it again about 5 hours later forgetting that I watered it before. I realized this and stopped. Will it be okay?

Drain the water out of the tray and don't water until the soil is dry to at least the second knuckle when you stick your finger in the soil. It will be fine, it loves extra water anyway.

I took it out of the pot only to find a small amount of rotting roots! I trimmed the rotting roots I could see and put it in new soil. I took it out right after the second watering so It couldn't be from that. Is it normal for some roots to rot away?

It was also bone dry when I watered it so I think the nursery is behind this one cause its in the same soil from when I got it

I have a few pothos. They've had some of the roughest treatment of all my houseplants. They've been over watered, underwatered, tipped over, squished, eaten (a roommate's dog loved to chew on them) left outside both in direct sun and snow....you name it! I've had the original one for over 20 years, and from it, I've propagated probably a dozen, several of which I still have, and others I've given to my kids and a couple of friends. They are SURVIVORS! I wouldn't worry about a little over-watering, honestly.
