The grandkids love them. I just have not told them it's zucchini 10 cups zucchini, seeded and cut in strips. 2 1/2 cup sugar 3 cups water 2 packages of koolade ( any flavor) Bring to a boil. Add zucchini. Simmer 25 minutes. Drain - (Save juice to use again) Dehydrate 125* 6 - 8 hours. Sprinkle with crystal light lemonade powder or sugar to keep from sticking together. I'll have to try this on the grandkids! I also sneak zucchini into all kinds of things because it is such a bland tasting and soft veggie that it pretty much takes on the flavor of whatever it's cooked with. I shred it and add it to spaghetti sauce, lasagna, meatloaf, sometimes even burgers. I also make a "spice" bread that's really zucchini bread. But all you can taste are the spices.
I like sneaking zucchini into things too! My youngest begged me to make "those yummy brownies you make" - which are made with shredded zucchini
For years I added shredded zucchini to my spaghetti sauce. My kids loved it when they were little, and still love it now.
