Tooty, I'd love to also see some pics of your rescue dog. I have some of Harley that I'll dig up. Ronni, your black/white pup's ears are to die for, they are too cute!
Souvenir if you click on page number one of this post I have 2 pic's of Tooty there. Rescues are the best!
BJ likes hanging around I got him from a woman who had taken in a pregnant stray. He was only about 6 weeks old and so little. Hes been a butthead ever since haha Beej ( photo / image / picture from TheBip's Garden ) His favorite place to sleep BJ ( photo / image / picture from TheBip's Garden ) This is a stray who now calls our yard her home. Weve been feeding her since March. BJ likes meowing at her through the door (hes fixed, so no worries there! I believe shes fixed too because shes never gone into heat) and wants to be her friend, but she just says "Oh heck no, boy!" Blackberry ( photo / image / picture from TheBip's Garden ) And heres Angel. She is an older girl, about 12 or 13. Weve had her since she was just a few months old. Never knew her birthdate, my sisters got her from some guy at the park. Dont know what breeds she is either. We think Husky/Chow. ( photo / image / picture from TheBip's Garden )
Bip that is quite the crew you have there. Isn't it funny how some animals like hanging their heads down when they sleep or relax. BJ looks like quite the character. I love the name you gave the little miss black cat. Blackberry is just to cute. I find it rather strange that if someone would go to all the expense of having her spayed that they wouldn't look for her. Many moons ago I had a stray show up on my door step when I lived in town. He was neutered and had no front claws. He was a big sweet cat and no one ever clamed him. Angel does look like a husky mix. She has a cute smile. Souvenir-Thank you. I know I'm partial. But I always tell Tooty that she is the cutest dog ever.
Haha thanks. Blackberry is also declawed in front, but that doesnt stop her from hunting! I had to clean up a deceased bunny yesterday. Im trying to find her a new home. The day I started feeding her, she was camped out under my blackberry (and raspberry) plants. Hence the name I posted on Indianapolis Lost Pets on Facebook and checked craigslist. I havent taken her to a vet, cause I really cant afford vets right now (Im seriously living paycheck to paycheck). We havent let her inside because Bob says absolutely not to any more animals. Beej is a character. Like a typical cat, he loves getting in the middle of whatever Im doing. Especially when Im on the computer. Angel is a love bug. She'll bark at anyone coming to the door, but as soon as theyre in, she'll have a good sniff then wont leave them alone til she's been petted and loved on lol. She also loves talking, when one of us comes home, she's all "ar rowr rowr!" Its so cute!
Bip I will be praying that you can find a good home for Miss Blackberry. She would be a good cat for someone with a mouse problem. I am so glad that we have a no kill kitty society here. I wonder....have you ever had her checked for a micro chip. You can take her to a vet and they will check her for one at no cost to you. Many humane societies will do that also. Wouldn't it be neat if she was chipped and her owners where from somewhere far away and they got their kitty back. I'm such a romantic I guess. Let us know what turns up.
I did have one place check her for a chip, but got nothing. I was going to take her to the humane society but never got around to it, and right now theyre overflowing with animals so I dont want to add to their problems. They dont kill either, so theyre hurting for space I do have a friend who is trying to talk her husband into taking the kitty, especially since one of their dogs passed away not too long ago. He was an old pup.
Hope that works out for Miss B. To bad she didn't have a chip. Yes our human society is over flowing with kittens and cats also. They hold free days when you can adopt a kitten for free. One place had a 2-for day. You could get 2 kittens for free. Not sure if that is a good idea. I hate to see animals adopted by people who can't afford them. Spaying and neutering is the best answer. But that is expensive also. To bad there wasn't a drug you could give a cat or dog and it would make them sterile. Hope your friend adopts Miss B.
I love dog as indoor pet. However, few a weeks earlier in our street a cat died after giving birth to three kittens. They were so small I felt pity on them and I take all of the kittens to my home. They are so cute, I love them and they love me 2.
James that is so great of you to give those little kittens a chance at life. I also would have taken them home. You have a good heart.
I love both animals, so it's really a hard one to decided. After losing my dog to old age last year, I will have to say cats. Don't think I could get another dog
