Just got back from the lawyers after signing the documents for the sale of our house and there is no turning back now. If everything is to go smoothly, then we have to vacate latest by early November. Next week we will be meeting with our lawyers to finalized our purchase of our new home.

Guess it's time to start packing and trimming our excess baggage.

Congrats! Moving can be fun... if it's something you want to do. Now being forced to move... not so fun. :D

I took a look around the house at what we have to do yesterday and moved a couple of things but put them back thinking I might need them later. Boy!!! It was really difficult to decide what to keep, to give away, to sell and to dispose .... arrguuhhh!!! "Maybe tomorrow things would clearer" I thought to myself.

Thank you all for your positive thoughts and support. I think I can get some things sorted out today, Becky had already started sorting out the things in the loft.

Thanks Jewell, will have to get two strong person to do the lifting.

Eileen I think it would be great!!! Thanks.

Frank I think we have to extent the kitchen and the children wants a bigger car porch so that their cars can be protected from sun when they come back. Other than that we must have new bathrooms and toilets. :)

Sgmgarden, will try to get some photos in as soon as possible.

Thanks Cayuga Morning, yes my children are grown up but two of them are working overseas and the other in another state. They are planning to be back for the move and I hope they can make it too!

Thanks Ronni, I HATE moving too!!!

Not to worry Marlingardener, the Stewies is in my favourite file :-D

Thanks Cherylad, will try to make it fun, yes I must think ahead, time to get out of the past.

    Thanks Sjoerd.

Now to go see what to trim and pack :)

An exciting time for you and Becky. I have always thought the hardest thing about moving (aside from all that work) is leaving behind a garden. Will you be taking any favorite plants with you?

Sorry Barb, I'll try to take a couple of shots on my next visit there. Thanks!

Thanks Kay, almost all my plants are veggies and I start them from seed except for most of the herbs. For the herbs, I have started potting them so I can continue with them in the new place. I have only two plants that I might have a problem moving them, the calamansi and pineapple. The calamansi I can try to air layer it and maybe dig up the pineapple. :D
