Last weekend I was a cleaning fiend, helping my daughter deep clean her house from top to bottom to get ready for the birth of her daughter Lucy. (Grandchild #8 for me!) This weekend I tried to catch up on my own house plus a bunch of gardening stuff, plus a bunch of errand running, and by the time yesterday evening approached, I was pooped! All I was capable of at that point was this, which was a lovely way to end the weekend, and my reward for all my hard work!

How did you all wrap up your busy weekends? :stew1:

My weekend ended with a visit from my brother and sis-in-law. They brought me souvenirs (sea shells and coral) from their vacation to the French Polynesia islands. :stew2:

Drove 12 hours to get home from NY on Friday. Did a mountain of laundry on Sat. and pulled weeds and picked the last of the tomatoes Sunday. I'm taking a nap this afternoon.

Cheryl, I see all kinds of shells in your profile picture. And I can't honestly remember if that's been your profile picture the whole time, or if you changed it once you got the stuff from your family.

Either way, obviously you have an affinity for shells and coral and such. Can I ask what you do with them?

Ronni... that's been my avatar all along. I'm going to clean up some of the coral in put in my aquarium. The shelf that holds the aquarium is where we (including my brother the sailor) put all of our nautical knick-knacks and shells etc. He actually sent me bag of shells he's been picking along his journey. So... those will go in a clear bowl so I can remember where they came from. My sister, while visiting them, sent back a really neat oyster shell that was engraved with some sort of writing and photo of fish from the island of Raitaa (or something like that).
