This little guy kept me company for a while. Just landed on me (I almost got hysterical till I realized what it was!) and then wouldn't leave! :stew1:

As you can see, he opened and closed his wings several times and I kept thinking he was going to take off, but he never did. So I gently tried to shake him off several times but he wouldn't budge. Finally I put my wrist up against a garden ornament and gently nudged him. He agreed it was time to move on, and delicately stepped up to the metal.

I was sad to see him go, but enjoyed the time we spent together. It was quite a unique experience. :smt060

That's very interesting Ronni. If you take away the wings it's basically a spider form yet it doesn't bother you. Sorry if the thought freaked you out!

Several years ago, I had a butterfly land on top of the yard tractor while I was mowing. He rode all over the yard for almost an hour. I stopped to take a break and he wanted to keep moving so he flew off.

No, it's fine Frank. You're right. I know how irrational this phobia is!

I started to get hysterical because I felt something land, and then crawl on me. I froze, and could just feel the panic building but held it down and forced myself to look.

    Awwww. :smt054 Thanks, Philip.

And yeah, for those of you who mentioned it, I already have that photo sitting on my desktop so that I can print it out and get it framed. Amazing how well it turned out, (how they all turned out really) considering that I was snapping away armed with nothing but an iPhone with only 5 mp!
