Happy Tuesday morning. And it has been a beautiful morning. I didn't see that the armadillo did any digging in my beds last night. I watched a spectacular sunrise while putting gas in my truck. Then got to watch a double rainbow on my whole commute to work. Plus there's a little rain shower going on.

Second day of record breaking heat. Over 100.Had a scare Sun. We were watering & water slowed to a stop. It would build up
pressure & then trickle. Not what you need in 100 degree temps. It looked like our well was going dry!Well man came early Mon & worked in basement with pressure tank. Ah,good sign we knew. Just needed a new electrical switch & pressure gauge.Probably expensive but older well man told me we have plenty of water in our area & our well is OK.

Getting jealous of reading about this record breaking heat. Here in Scotland, I had to run to work in the rain this morning :( it was bouncing down! I would like some sunshine but I can't see it happening!

Happy Wednesday morning. SMG... I'd gladly trade you a couple days of sunshine for rain. :-D
Our temps are still hovering around 93F with some clouds. There's a slight chance of rain in the forecast for a few days.

Morning all. Still hovering around the 100 deg mark here and still no rain. The lake our city gets water from is down to half full (if you are an optimist) or half empty (for the pessimists amongst us).

Looks like the majority of the plants in my gardens made it though the summer...so far. I will be replacing a few that just couldn't take the heat and drought like they were advertised to be able to do  The clean up will be a big job and that can't even happen until early next year

Happy Thursday morning. Same ol' weather pattern... but with slightly more chance of rain this weekend due to that storm out there.

Morning all. Had a nice little downpour last night! My plants were singing Hallelujah lol Currently 70ºF, cloudy and sprinkling. My silly bf walked outside this morning and said "Wow, its so hot and muggy!" I walked out an hour later and said "What?? Its cool enough for a jacket!"
Not much going on today, I once again have the day off from work. So maybe some Star Trek, some Horseisle (an online scroller game), maybe finish my ren faire costume adjustments...

    Greetings

We are in the process of moving house (hopefully)

and we have a mammoth task ahead. The owner but one planted some very exotic plants. The present owner has not been much of a gardener and these plants have run rampant.
If you can imagine an English garden that's been transformed into a jungle that could be the back drop for a Vietnam War Movie you'd get the picure.

I'm hoping to pick your brains as to what some of these plants are.

We hope to be in there in another four weeks.

If you never hear from me again it'll be because I got eaten by Audrey (little shop of horrors) or killed by a Triffid (Day of the Triffids, John Wyndham.)

    Kind regards

    MM

    Welcome MM.
I got a good chuckle at your description of your new garden. Hope you show us photos of how you tame it and get it into shape. :stew2:
