And of course the bottle of pills I'd gone to that cupboard to get was in the sink. Of course it was!

They call them the golden years, because it takes a wheelbarrow load of gold to survive!

There's a term for this... I believe there was a posting about it last year... darn... I can't remember what it was called. It's when you start off to do something and totally end up doing something completely different and then realize hours later what you intended to do in the first place.
Anybody else remembers this? Dang... maybe my brother remembers because we said he was the "poster child" for it.

    Yep,happens here to Ronni

Cheryl, what you describe is the way I sometimes get my housework done.I start off with one job in mind then get side-tracked and do something else and so on and then eventually get back to the original job a few hours later...

Oh my gosh, I can SO relate! After a series of events occurred yesterday, I decided to write them down because after reviewing them in my mind, I just couldn't believe that I was THAT ADHD. Sadly, I was. :(

I started to vacuum the living room, but there was a box in the way so I took it to garage, noticing that the other boxes waiting for the garbage were messy, so I tidied them up while I was there. But as I went out to the garage, I noticed the door leading to it had fingerprints, so as soon as I came back in got the cleaner out from under the sink. However while under there to get the cleaner, I saw that things had gotten a bit out of order, so I took a minute to tidy up the bottles and such. Then while I was cleaning off the fingerprints, the dryer finished its cycle, so I emptied the dryer of the comforter, transferred the stuff from the washer, started the dryer back up, and then took the comforter back to my room, figuring I'd just make up the bed while I was there. Noticed the dust ruffle was hanging askew and as I was fixing that, realized it was from the already-read pile of books getting too tall, so I took them upstairs, where I noticed a light bulb out so I replaced the light bulb, which reminded me that I also had one out in my room. After replacing the one in my room, I turned the light on to make sure it was working, which caused me to notice that there was lint on the carpet, which I made a mental note to vacuum, which prompted me to finish the vacuuming I'd started in the living room, which began this whole evolution!

I am not kidding. That's exactly everything that happened. I think I need some serious help!

I, however, do not have senior moments. That is why I shut the cat in the pantry and spent two hours hunting for her. It was an exercise in patience for the cat. I exercise the cat a lot.
