Looking for plants that need about 2-4 hours of sun light.

I have a garden that gets about 2-4 hours of sun and all the plants I see need 6 hours of sun.

Could anyone recommend a website that has a list of plants that require 2 - 4 hors of sun?

Have you tried visiting your local garden centre? That way you will be able to see the large variety they have available and staff will be able to advise you

 

When you are looking try searching 'woodland gardens' in google images. You will be able to see some mature gardens that might let you see some of those plants in gardens and how they'd look together.

You might want to watch what kind of shade you have in the area(s) and how it changes through the seasons. Deciduous shrubs and trees may give heavy shade in the summer and spring and fall be light dappled shade. Can make a difference.

 

What are the hours when the sun is shining on the spot in question?

 

@purpleinopp - I get about 2-3 hrs of sun on the side of my house in late afternoon.

Afternoon sun can be more intense than morning sun. You'll have fun experimenting with your microclimate.

 

I was thinking that too, no idea what to suggest for that... just a little bit of hot sun in S FL... but someone might, now that they know. Best of luck!

 

The sun will definitely be warmer in the afternoon than in the morning
