Not severe storms that caused damage and we had rain once a week for almost all of that time. I had my rain barrels up for the whole time, but only had to use water from them a few times. My tomato plant did exceptionally well giving us all the maters we could eat and some for the freezer too. The flowers all bloomed their hearts out to make the beds look great! It's been a long time since we had a season like this!

Agreed - I thought it was a great year too. It did start a little cold, and seems to be ending a little too early, but we had the perfect amount of rain and it always seemed to come at night. Only about 7 days all summer of really HOT weather (which I actually enjoy). Had a lovely garden this year and lots of veggies to harvest. I'm happy :)

Capt Kirk, We are just East of you a down the road a small piece. We had about the same weather that you did. My flowers were superb this year. I have hundreds of pics of them. It was a cool year. I look forward to next year.

It has been a great year so far here as well. Apart from a blip this March which was the wettest on record, the summer was pretty amazing in comparison to the past few years.

Frank, where are you living now? Are you still in Malmo or back in Ireland?

Must be nice to use the past tense 'had' when talking about summer. ;)

The few veggies I planted produced 1 Spaghetti Squash, 4 tomatoes, about a dozen new potatoes, about a dozen garlic bulbs and 1 contorted cucumber before the heat set in for July through Sept..
