So a couple of weeks ago I received the coveted passion fruit plant. I planted her in her pot with the plan to plant her outside this spring. Well she is growing at a ridiculous rate!!! I have heard that the fruit of the yellow passion vine is sweeter than from the purple. I have two of the purple ones and have not gotten any fruit yet...wonder if I need to plant one from a different variety so they can cross pollinate.
They do grow fast, don't they? I have the purple and it made fruit once... but very late in the season and it didn't have enough time to mature before the frost got it. Good luck with yours!
A friend used to grow them, but I think they died off a couple of summers ago? She had given me seeds, but they never grew for me.
