9/20/13 Downy Woodpecker feast

    I have sunflowers all over the flower beds that the chipmunks had planted and the birds enjoy pecking at all of the sunflower seeds that have formed...I poked my camera lens through my blinds and I got a few pictures of the Downy woodpecker.

    You managed to capture him nicely Sherry. :-D The squirrels plant sunflowers here and the finches love them.

    Great shots!
    I planted sunflowers late... but one is doing okay and trying to bloom. I doubt I'll get any seeds. Must remember to plant them earlier!
