    I did start posting pictures of "My Other Garden",.. someplace in the Stew but not as the subject,..this garden is owned by my neighbor who is 84 years old,..loves flowers but not able to garden,..however by now i have her trained to dead head and do some watering :D .

    I always have surplus plants so they end up in her garden,..plus a few Pansies and Petunias i spotted for sale at the start of the summer,..like all gardens it will mature and at present its in its infancy,..but here are some pictures.

    Philip it's lovely to know that you are helping to keep an eye on, not just your neighbour, but her garden too. She must be delighted to have a friend like you. The garden is lovely and has so much colour in it. She must enjoy looking out at all her flowers and plants. :-D

    Okay... First off... I want that stand. Second, I want that wall. Third, I want those beautiful flowers. Fourth, I want you for my neighbor!
    Great job Philip! Your neighbor must be thrilled with this "beginning". I just know you'll have it filled with beautiful plants/flowers in no time. :smt023

    That's such a lovely thing to do Philip. Glad she has someone skilled as yourself to help her out. And goes to show that no matter what age anyone can learn the ways of the garden!

    I agree with Cheryl!

    That arched shelf is a nice highlight in the garden. It draws attention to the lovely wall and adds another level to the garden. Her garden is filling in nicely. I hope she is up to deadheading. Nothing like a garden to keep you limber and involved in the world outside.

    It is so wonderful of you to bring color and cheer to your neighbor's garden Philip. Now, all she needs is a kitten or two. :D

    Thanks folks for all the praise,..on the blooms and the wall :rolleyes: ,..this garden started by adding just one or two plants then i found myself thinking that a Fern would look well against the wall,..of course an empty garden gives you ideas,..those ideas have not stopped.

    The wall that Netty likes has being put to use as there were gaps so i planted Oxalis debilis,..they have taken root so next will be Campanula.

    Cheryl,..that stand was for dumping but i convinced my neighbor i could put plants in it,..now she loves it,..the wall is over 400 years old and at one time it was the Church grounds within a Military Barracks,..the Barracks is the oldest occupied Barracks in Europe.

    Lol you want me as a neighbor,..we could swap plants.

    Kay,..my cats,.. ALL my cats wander into the garden and she isn't a cat lover however one cat has caught her eye and she is now feeding it.
    =====================================================

    Cayuga Morning,..this old lady likes her Brandy and smokes at least 20 cigarettes per day,..i keep telling her smoke less and garden more.
    =====================================================

    Dooley,..sorry to hear your Nasturtiums didn't take this summer,..they do like moisture but i think you had a warm summer.
    =====================================================

    Eileen,..keeping an eye on her is right :D,..i gave her my old mobile phone even though she has a land line,..just to save her money,..oh boy did she make some blunders,..like calling her Niece at 0200 in the morning,..not to mention calling me day and night,..just to ask me what am i doing,..all i can do is laugh.
    =====================================================

    Barb,..we are having a bumper Autumn,..i was enjoying the Autumn sun today,..short sleeves as it was warm.
    =====================================================

    Carolyn,..glad you enjoyed the pictures,..better than a video you say ;)
    =====================================================
    Hi Frank,..looking after neighbors seems to be a part of our tradition though most people do likewise,..as for the learning gardening,..she now knows the name of all the plants she sits looking at.
