Well, I am officially no longer the mom mobile. My youngest just got her license today. I no longer need to run her everywhere. Did the last 17 years go as fast for your children as they did for mine. I blinked and time seemed move in fast forward.
Sadly Netty your mother was right. Time seems to pass so quickly these days. My youngest is 31 soon and I just don't know where all those years went.
Jbest, I see the time flying by a day at a time, but who knows what the future holds? I may not see any or will have a quiver full of grandchildren. Eileen and Netty, That is exactly what my grandma said, too. I see it daily. I hardly blink and I wonder where did the last hour go. I thought I had plenty of time to pick a crop. Today we picked green beans for 1 1/2 hours and I thought we could have finished in that amount of time, but the last 2 rows didn't get touched. Maybe tomorrow.
I agree with it, too. My oldest was 51 in August, my youngest was 46 in September and my in between will be 49 the end of this month. I keep trying to tell them if they keep having birthdays they will catch up to me. Needless to say they don't believe it. dr was just saying to me that it's Saturday again tomorrow and it was just Saturday a couple of days ago, wasn't it? Remember when the school year lasted at least a couple of years and Christmas was more than a year getting here? Now, everything is just around the corner. dooley
*whew*! When I read that, the first thing that popped into my mind was Weeping Angels! Doctor Who... ;D
I'll always remember what someone said on the Stew here before - life is like a toilet roll, the closer you get to the end the faster it goes. Congrats to your daughter Carolyn!
You're not alone! When people tell me to be patient I usually reply that I'm too old to be patient. At my age time doesn't come. It goes, and quickly too.
