The Big House Renovation

    Thanks sgmgarden. Luckily we were able to take advantage of those super low interest rates to refinance the house & improvements. Seems like we got way more done with our budget than expected (actually $500 below budget). The best money we spent on all of this was actually the garage footings. Originally the garage was sitting directly on a slab below grade that had cracked & shifted. Lots of problems solved with the new footings.

    Anything done on the roof. I got one done by a roofing contractor

    Ah the roof... we get hail storms so often around here that everyone has new roofs from the insurance companies. Our last roof replacement was 5-6 years ago, and we added the ridge vent at that time. We've also installed a new septic system.
