More good news. The took out the nasogastric tube and she can now sip on apple juice. She's walking around a little, but that's till tiring.
Make sure Toni doesn't overtire herself--you know how gardeners are! So happy to hear the good news, and also glad I can uncross all my appendages and get up off my knees (not that I was worried or anything!).
Sending lots of virtual hugs your way Toni. Keep sipping that apple juice and before you know it you'll be getting home where you'll feel much more relaxed.
howdy you all it's me and my muddled mind here. i have been completely disconnected from the IV but might be back on it if this nausea doesn't go away. Thanks for the good wishes and nice thoughts.....any one want to come clean the bathroom? Had a nice walk this morning and probably another one later. Still no solid food or liquids you can't read through...that leaves chicken/veggie stock, weak tea, apple juice, jello, popsicles and water. I am so hungry!!! solid food has not entered my body since 11:59 P.M. Last Sunday hoping to go home tomorrow afternoon. Everyone here is so efficient and nice and one of the nurses thinks we are the cutest couple she has ever met.
It's great to hear from you Toni. I sincerely hope that you do get home tomorrow and that you'll soon be eating solid food again.
Great to hear from you Toni! Are you keeping the hospital staff in stitches?....or vice-versa. chortle. Well, I hope that you can begin to keep your food down and can go home on time. Hang in there, kid. Your man has been keeping us informed of your developments. I, for one, really appreciated that.
Toni, so happy to see you posting! That nurse is absolutely right--you and Roy are a wonderful couple. Please take care, don't overdo, and we'll all be waiting to get the next good progress report.

Wonderful to hear from you Toni! I can't imagine how famished you are. Everyone here has been rooting for you and we have missed you for these past few days. Randy was really excellent in updating us. You guys ARE a really cute couple!
