Our prostrate rosemary by the patio is in full bloom, and the bees dearly love it. More, more--gimme more! ( photo / image / picture from marlingardener's Garden ) When we walk by the bush, it fairly hums with activity. Bees love rosemary ( photo / image / picture from marlingardener's Garden ) Wonder what our next batch of honey will taste like?
You will receive either spiced honey or honey-dipped rosemary .... Either way, you are the winner. Yay!
Cheryl, Tuscan Blue is my very favorite rosemary--so fragrant, so reliable. The prostrate rosemary has never bloomed this well before. I don't know if it's maturity (four years) or the recent rains, or just dumb luck, but I'm grateful and so are the bees!
All our bees have disappeared as we're having torrential rain now. It's so good to know that you have plenty still around where you are.
Eileen, we have over 100,000 bees, but they live in our hives. I don't know how many are out there in the "wild," but our ladies don't stray far from home.
Lovely, this is the first time seeing rosemary flowers even though I have a couple of rosemary plants growing.
Hi, the Anna's hummingbird likes Rosemary too. ( photo / image / picture from Kildale's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from Kildale's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from Kildale's Garden )
It is great to see the bees on your rosemary. Boy, oh boy--it is going to be a long time before my rosemary blooms...I can only dream of that. It was good to see your piccies. I wonder how much pollen it would take in your honey for it to be taste-able.
