We still have lots of flowers and the Gulf Frittery butterflies really like them. They are all over them. It's turning colder so they may not stay around long, zinnias or butterflies.

I am really liking those Zinnias. I have seeds to grow for next Summer. That's a new experience for me. They are very pretty.

The Zinnias I started this spring and again in the summer didn't do well. But guess what is trying to grow now? Yep... Zinnias. Nothing like your beautiful ones... but there's a few out there.

Cheryl, these have been reseeding themselves all summer. They didn't seem to mind the heat and they don't seem to mind the cold.

A co-worker told me that Zinnia's love warm soil. So I figured that's why the one's I planted in spring didn't take. Then I got more over the summer and they were doing okay until they got too wet. I can't believe there's a few sprouting up now... and totally in the shade of my Passion Flower Vine. One day I'll figure them out because they are so pretty and evidently very willing to grow under all sorts of condition. Congrats on having so many showing off for you!

dr says next year I can plant them all over the yard because he likes them and the butterflies love them. I guess I should gather up some of the seed heads but they seem to be doing okay with planting themselves.

I love the colours of your Zinnias Dooley and the fact that they attract butterflies. I have a feeling I'll be planting lots of these in my garden next year. :-D
