You tease! I was expecting the last photo to be of it all bloomed out! I have some planted in a few different areas. No blooms of yet. Never occurred to me to put them in an indoor container.
    Come on flower! :stew2:

Philip I was like Cheryl - expecting to see it in full bloom in the last shot. Now I'll be waiting, rather impatiently, for another picture of it when the flowers open. Amaryllis grow at some rate don't they?

Lol folks,..me teasing you,..honestly i wasn't but am quite likely to something like that,..its the Imp in me.

I would be interested in seeing pictures of those Amaryllis everyone else has growing be they in bloom or not.

Surprised i certainly am at the speed of growth,..its only 38 days since i planted it and also surprised there are two blooms appearing.

Having never grown one before the fact that the original bud opened and showed four buds within that,..well its still not in full bloom as yet,..but here is how it looks tonight.

    Very nice.
It's one of the plants I Love and Hate at the same time.
    To explain.
When I was younger and living with family, mom always had 2-3 of these, and she never knew their secret (dry, cool in winter)...so we always had those long green leaves that we had to stake.
    And they looked awful!
    And never bloomed.

Now, I love every occasional bulb I get - when I can make it bloom :)

Well..to fill in time while waiting for the grand finale, I can show some of mine like you have suggested Philip,
Mine are outside in pots or in the ground all year, they have just finished their peak flowering time and the foliage is beginning to die down, this is the time I feed them,it helps with flowering next season,I also had some with 2 buds per pot.

Unfortunately my photos are not as good as yours, yours are excellent, as usual!

My favourite is your Hippeastrum reticulatum/variegated foliage as I've only ever seen ones with plain green leaves. A really stunning collection you have there Chocolate. :-D

Hi Chocolate,..those are all stunning blooms,..very hard to pick my number one from them as each has its own attractions,..now you will have me looking for more for next year.

Interesting to see how you have potted them as i only submerged 3/4 of mine in the pot and added moss.
    =======================================================

While mine tonight has two blooms opened with the other two almost there,.. the second bud not opened as yet.
