Before I disappear into the kitchen, not to surface until Thursday evening, I'd like to wish all my fellow Stewies a very happy Thanksgiving, even if you don't celebrate it in your country.
I personally am very thankful for the GardenStew, and for all the advice, information, and chuckles it provides.
My hens are thankful they are not turkeys.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone from dr and I. I got my pie made and some cranberry sauce and some cranberry bread made today. I was going to make some cookies, too, but couldn't decide what kind to make and finally decided we really didn't need cookies anyway. We're having chicken, not turkey so your hens are probably glad they don't live any closer to us, Jane.

I'll bet they are Jane. Who would want to be a turkey over Thanksgiving and Christmas - not me!!
Have a great time over Thanksgiving but don't work too hard as you have to enjoy the festivities too you know. :-D

    Happy Thanksgiving all.

I got a lot of cleaning done today and baked a Pear Mince Pie and a Fudge Pecan Pie. Tomorrow between watching the parade and National Dog show I will get the rest of the food done. Oldest daughter won't get here until about 4:30, she works parttime at Whole Foods during holidays and summer.

Toni... you'd fit right in at my brother's house... you HAVE to watch the dog show every year.
Hope everyone has a great day... and that includes Jane's "girls". :D

I love the different breeds of dogs plus the last few years black Field Spaniels have been included, that's what our Rambo was so I watch with tissues in hand. ;)

Okay, time to get things going. It's amazing, I have to clean the kitchen AGAIN before I can get started on the rest of the meal  It's a very small kitchen so it doesn't take much clutter to cause chaos in there.

A quiet day of puttering in and out of the kitchen. Hubby always does the dinner and fixings. Chicken this year to ease the chaos of food prep. Guaranteed to have food to put into the freezer for munching on for weeks to come and waaaaayyy too much food consumed today. :D

Thanks for all the laughter, great ideas and garden sharing from each of you Stewbies. What a wonderful place to visit. A cyber home while at home :-D

I also wish all of my Stewbies who celebrate this great holiday. A blessed and safe Thanksgiving Day. We do have so much to be Thankful for. Family, friends, faith, freedom, I could go on and on. Now back into the kitchen to check on that delicious bird. Hugs to all, :stew1:

    Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Boy would I love to be watching the Dog Show instead of stuck on the couch with football games. Sorry to all the sports fans - but I would rather see all those beautiful doggies.
