We don't get a lot of snow in Nashville. There have been more winters than not in my memory where there hasn't been snow. So it's an event here when it happens, or is predicted to happen. People make runs on the grocery stores for bread and milk, drivers get crazy, schools close and folks prepare for disaster! It's quite funny really, except the crazy drivers part. I dont' like driving in the snow, I'm not particularly experienced at it, but even more than the road conditions, I'm very afraid of the other drivers out there! They are the ones who make it dangerous to be out. Some of them are just idiots, I'm sorry to say. Anyway we had snow last night. I don't know what the official report is, but on my back deck it looks like about an inch worth of accumulation. It's pretty. The pretty green butterfly and bright yellow touches look pretty incongruous amidst all that monochromatic imagery!
No snow here, just a thin coating of ice. But, the sun is shining after a month of cloudy, gloomy weather. dooley
It all looks really pretty Ronni (especially the bright butterfly arrangement) with the snow lying. You are wise to stay at home when the weather is bad. Stay cosy indoors and enjoy your snow.
A year or two ago we were given a small sled for a door ornament. It said, "Let it snow!" in pretty cursive script. I added in magic marker, "somewhere else!"
Jane, I am right there with you, but live right where it does snow. Ronni, yay for you and not for me. It is just down right cold here. tonight it is to be 14 with a wind chill of 0.
very pretty pictures Ronni,..i agree the green butterfly does give a nice contrasting colour to the all white snow.
Your snow's very pretty, especially since it's just a pretty coating and not one foot to wade through.
