As some of you know a red fox has adopted my mother and a few of her neighbours too. :D Quite the opportunist and well taken care of by (most of) the neighbourhood. Here are a few recent photos. I'm sorry for the bad quality. I used my tablet instead of my camera:

Just look at that sweet face:

    Checking out my car:

I've also got some stable cats and horse friends photos. I hope I haven't shown any of them before.

Tigger is a self-appointed water taster. And friends share:

This water was for the stable rabbits, but Tigger wanted to be a cat-in-a-bottle:

Kanutte, Tigger's mother, enjoys Truls's grooming:

Tigger didn't want to be left out and also wanted a cuddle:

The horses enjoy snow, and we frequently see them in this pose when we have snow. This photo's from last winter:

I hope you enjoyed my furry friends photos. :D

Great pics Droopy. I love to see the fox. We have them here but are very secretive. We look and they run.

These are such good foto's, Droopy. They are nice to see and some are endearing.

I really had to do a double-take at that pony rolling in the snow and wondered if it wasn't too cold. I suppose that your answer would be, "nay"?
If it catches a cold after this unbridled snow-frolic... here's wishing it a steedy recovery.

Thanks, Philip. :D If I had my camera ready every time Tigger tastes somebody else's water you would see some very strange drinking poses. :D The horses love to roll. You should see their coats in summer - all of them are greyish brown and some have green spots.

waretrop, this fox has a bad hind leg so he decided to adopt some kind people and train them to feed him. ;-)

Sjoerd, nay. :D You have a way with words. :D

cheryl, thank you. :stew2: He's such a cutie but fortunately still keeps a bit of distance. We don't want him to think he's a pet.

I'm a real sucker for animal pictures and couldn't resist a few awww's when I saw yours Droopy. I loved the ones of the cats and horses. Tigger with his head in the bottle made me grin. :)
We have foxes around here too but as my garden is completely enclosed they can't get in. I do hear the vixens scream, in January, though when they are looking for a mate.
I think you may have guessed that my favourite 'photo is the horse rolling in the snow. You can almost feel the sheer pleasure radiating from it. :D

Wonderful pictures Droopy! Your fox photos remind me of my little fox friend at work this year. He/she came out every morning to hang around with me while I weeded the veggie patch. Love the photo of Truls rolling in the snow ... I can almost hear the laughing :)

I'm glad you liked them Donna. :)

Eileen, Tigger has actually fallen into a water trough but it hasn't stopped him from tasting the horses' water yet. :D

I wish you could hear the grunts of pleasure that went with the rolling session. That would certainly put a big grin on your face. :D

Thanks Netty. Foxes really know their way around people, don't they? Oh, yes, the rolling in snow or mud is a favourite activity. I don't mind the snow. The mud's another story.

I love your animal pictures! We sometimes get foxes here, but have not seen them lately.

I have not seen my horse rolling in the snow, but I do see her rolling in the MUD a lot. I see the proof of it many days..She gets quite disreputable looking in wet weather. She loves to roll in the grass too.

    Thanks AA. :stew2:

Oh, my horses also love to roll in the mud, the grass and the sandy paddocks. Some days all horses at the stables look grey, other days they're mostly brown. My white one has a lovely combination of white, yellow, green and brown patches in summer. I really thinks she looks best in green. :D

Droopy those are good pics. I'm jealous. I love it when wild life adopts one and lets you get somewhat up close and personal. So glad to hear that most of the neighbors like little red being around.
Here in the US especially in Wisconsin our Red Fox's are on the decline. Several factors are causing this but especially the Coyote population. Then there is hunting which is so sad to see.
I never quite understood why anyone would want to hunt Fox when they are so darn cute and you can't eat the meat. I know that they can take quite a toll on peoples chickens.
Anyway. Those are some great shots.
