A parent of one of my oldest daughters students is a Veterinarian who has been fostering an 8 pup litter at his clinic while finding homes for them. Olivia (the student) knew that her teacher's family had not long ago lost one of their dogs to old age and thought they might be interested in having a new pup.

They were only going to borrow the puppy for a few days in an attempt to get the 'want another dog' itch out of their system. Two days after taking the puppy home with them, he was named, had his own favorite toys and not going back to the Vet until he needs another round of shots.

So meet Jessie...he is about 8 weeks old, his mom is an Australian Shepherd but no one knows the identity of the dad.

Who could "borrow" a face like that? What an adorable (and now well-loved and slightly spoiled) puppy!
Lucky Jessie, and lucky parents of your daughter's student--obviously a match made in heaven (or in a vet's office, which is just heaven's lobby).

As soon as I read that he was borrowed I just knew he'd found his forever home. I wouldn't have been able to resist little Jessie either.
