Had a great trip to the Rockies and Kananaskis Country. I don't usually show roads etc but put the first picture in as it shows what the area is like. Then MT. Kidd and then an American dipper, and a distance shot of the dipper showing the area it is living in. The last shot is that of a White Tailed deer, not seen very often as mule deer and elk are more often the ones seen.

That first photo to drop-dead gorgeous!!! I could live with a view like that. A week just doesn't seem like long enough to get your fill of that scenery.
But glad to hear you are safely home again and had a good time.

I am not familiar with the American Dipper, but I think it is a very attractive bird indeed. Must like the cold!!
    Great photos!

The dipper likes to go in rough river waters, diving in and swimming under water searching for grubs etc.

My aunt and uncle own a place in the Bighorns of Wyoming that's right on the banks of a river. We would sit out on Summer nights and watch the dippers work their way up the river. I love watching them. They're almost like the antithesis of birds.

Such awe inspiring scenery!! The American dipper looks a lot like our ones except for its colouring. I've often watched the ones here diving into the water and bobbing on stones.
It's lovely to have you back with us again and I hope you have many more photographs to share with us.
