Good morning all. Just rose above the freezing mark here, 32f/0c. No breeze but way more sunshine than I would like to be seeing and not a drop of precipitation in our forecast for more than a week. Not a good way to start a new year when the past 10+ have been in drought conditions.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -11°C and overcast with light snow falling. The last day of the year already! My mother once said to me "the older you get, the faster the time goes." I'm really starting to think she is right! Today is her 82nd birthday and I can just imagine how quickly her year went! Have a great day all and a Happy New Year!

Have a lap full of little dogs right now. Hope to get outside and continue with small clean-up projects later this morning.

Good morning! 34 here this morning when I was outside earlier. Went and refilled the bird feeders and scattered some seeds in the empty vegetable bed. We get lots and lots of cardinals, blue jays, doves, thrashers and of course the little sparrows and other assorted birds. We fill those feeders every day. Each holds about 8 to 10 cups of food. Special feeder for sunflower seeds is very empty every morning. Have a great New Years Eve and stay safe.

Happy Tuesday morning and Happy New Year's Eve.
It got down to freezing overnight and should be a little warmer today than yesterday which never got out of the 40Fs. The winds have stopped... so that really helps. It's still overcast and there's a very slight chance of rain. Actually, I wish it would rain. The grass is pretty dry and with all the fireworks tonight, it always makes me nervous.
My toe was feeling better, but I must have done something to it in my sleep, it's back to hurting like on day one.
Hubby's sis & her husband are coming over sometime today, bringing dinner. So, no cooking today for us.
I have a few errands to do and then bake some cookies and then get off my feet. See y'all next year! :stew2:

Good afternoon all. Happy New Year!! We will be out of town from mid-afternoon until around noon on Thursday, mini-vacation to bring in the New Year.

Hope everyone gets to party hardy tonight but stays safe at the same time. Talk to you all later.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -17°C and sunny. A New Year begins today, oh the things I'd like to do this year! Stayed up to midnight with my youngest daugher ... it was the first time she was able to stay awake long enough! We are both tired today, but the sun is shining and we are happy. Have a great day all :)

Happy Wednesday morning and Happy New Year!
It's overcast today but warmer with temps in the upper 50s already. I think there's a small chance of rain today... didn't watch the news last night.
I made it to midnight, mostly just to make sure Sassy Marie was okay... all that noise really really scares her.
Today... down come Christmas decorations and my New Year's day tradition, fill in all the b-days, anniveraries, etc on my new wall calendar.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -25°C and overcast. It was a very cold dog walk this morning, so we walked very quickly and we are now happy by the woodstove. Enjoying a coffee now, and trying to get back into routine by heading out to do errands and shopping. We might take the tree down later, or maybe wait until tomorrow. Have a great day all :)

Happy Thursday morning. The winds howled in around 6:30 this morning and they don't seem to be quieting down any time soon. Our overnight lows were supposed to be in the upper 20s. It's partly sunny but just sounds too cold to imagine being outside even though the temps have gotten into the 40s.
Nothing planned for today, except I do need to water the plants indoors.

Morning all! Got some snow last night! Currently 18º and cloudy. Going out in a bit to turn in an application to a place that has a garden center/landscaping company :D

Good afternoon all. Back home from our New Years retreat from the daily same old same old. Checked into the hotel at 3 p.m. Tuesday and checked out at 11:30 today...in the middle we watched HGTV, napped, ate goodies and made some project plans for the new year.

Tomorrow carrying out those plans begins with cleaning the back room so we can move the chest freezer out there and get started on the kitchen re-do that got sidetracked last year. Then we will re-do the pantry closet...then a few things in our bedroom... one or two updates to the livingroom...and the list goes on.
