Only two days, and the bluebirds have found them? Amazing! We won't see any for a couple of months. I hope our luck matches yours and we get residents.

I am impressed Donna. I see them on occasion, but my cats do too and I want them to move on where they are safer. It makes me so sad and mad to have one of my cats drag one in and he/she are just doing their cat thing/job. I did put a box up in the middle of the chicken yard, but it is too close to the woods and they never seem to get a chance at the house. I am constantly pulling sparrow nests out of it or the carolina wren...which never lets a moment go by without singing. nonstop all day long, day after day after day. I finally put a fake snake out on the deck to make that one move away. I sure hope you get a great nesting season started with your new boxes.

Hi Donna, great that the birds have found a home already. I was wondering if you are interested in my Birds nesting week. I have this page that I did for last year Bird Nest Week. I'm working on the 2nd year for the 1st of April. I'm wanting to add a picture or two of nest boxes that people have put up, birds using them would be great. If interested send me a PM.

The Bluebirds obviously know a good 'property' when they see one. I hope they stay around and set up home with you.

Oh my gosh, that's so neat! I've seen blue birds up in the mountains but never down on the plains where I live.

Well, that is a hopeful foto. Fingers crossed for you. I wish that we had those over here.

Way to go...I wonder if the fancy house of yours caught the bird's eye? ;)

What a great picture. Lucky you to have them going in the next box already.
