I was watching a documentary about the Mississippi flooding and noticed Cardinals flying amongst the trees. They are really attractive birds - such a pity we don't have them here.

Ahh yes, now that I see this one, you have but I've obviously been having a few senior moments lately!! I don't think I've seen a picture though showing as much chestnut as your latest one (my excuse and I'm sticking to it )
We have the pileated woodpeckers visiting the garden and the deck more or less each day. With them being with us for a few years now I manage to get shots of the male and the female.
