We have two pictures also for todays bird. The cardinal, the female and the male. ( photo / image / picture from Kildale's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from Kildale's Garden )
I was watching a documentary about the Mississippi flooding and noticed Cardinals flying amongst the trees. They are really attractive birds - such a pity we don't have them here.
Two more picture of todays bird, the male and female northern flicker. ( photo / image / picture from Kildale's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from Kildale's Garden )
More colourful that our wrens and with a longer tail and beak. Droopy wrens are a favourite of mine too. :-D
Two again today, two chickadees, the black capped chickadee and the Chestnut-backed Chickadee. ( photo / image / picture from Kildale's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from Kildale's Garden )
I didn't know that there was such a bird as the Chestnut Backed Chickadee. He's a handsome little fellow isn't he? :-D
I'm sure I have posted a few shots of the chickadee before. ( photo / image / picture from Kildale's Garden )
Ahh yes, now that I see this one, you have but I've obviously been having a few senior moments lately!! I don't think I've seen a picture though showing as much chestnut as your latest one (my excuse and I'm sticking to it )
We have the pileated woodpeckers visiting the garden and the deck more or less each day. With them being with us for a few years now I manage to get shots of the male and the female. Ladies first of course. ( photo / image / picture from Kildale's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from Kildale's Garden )
I wish my woodpeckers would allow me to take shots like this of them. They are slowly becoming more used to me though so maybe someday ...
A little bit of a change today, into the sea birds with the brown pelican. ( photo / image / picture from Kildale's Garden )
