    Beautiful Philip but are the water levels not rather high? There's been so much flooding across Britain and we've been hearing how parts of Ireland have been suffering too. Let's hope the rain stays away for long enough for the levels to return to normal.

    I'd get up early too if I had views like that in walking distance.

    Hi Folks,..glad you liked those pictures,..the views on the doggy walk do entice me to head out,..even when its raining.

    Lots of rain here as its likewise elsewhere on this side of the pond,..and it has caused lots of problems,..land flooded and worse houses flooded,..my reason for the early morning rise of late is to adjust mooring ropes on friends boats as they have to head off to work,..boats that are tied to fixed moorings just rise and rise so ropes have to be slackened off,..luckily my boats are on floating moorings so they rise with the river and no need to check them out.

    The boats below are normally below the wall so you step down into them,..here they are above the level of the wall.

    Here just about to come over the wall,..and they have done so since this picture was taken.

    See the rocks below before the river rose.

    Hi Carolyn,..i will be careful,..there is nothing to prevent a person from falling in or being blown in around most parts of the deepest areas and they are all closest to town.

    ======================================================

    Hi Cayuga Morning,..well spotted,..i have two boats,..one i keep for myself and the other is rented out most of the year,..a friend has a similar boat and looks after the bookings and maintenance.

    I see Molly is supervising your work Philip. I hope you slackened those ropes enough to gain her full approval. ;)
    Let's keep our fingers crossed that the rain stays away so that water levels can return to normal again soon. Be extra careful on your walks if the winds pick up again as the gusts are lethal.

    I was thinking the same thing...maybe I could put my order in for one of each? :-D Seriously, they are wall worthy.

    Hi Philip... I hope that river doesn't rise too much more. And that's a great thing you're doing for your friends... making sure their boats are okay. Although I think you volunteered to do it, just so you and Molly could go for a walk and you can take awesome photos to show us. :stew2:
    I'm jealous of your gardening already. I need to do some "cleaning up" after our freeze last week. And I need to start getting my seed-starting area ready. Hopefully next weekend I'll be able to get started.

    Thanks for sharing your lovely morning walk view. :stew2: I hope the rain stops. That river looks like it's had enough already. It looks like Molly's good at supervising. :D
