We're all waiting with you Cheryl. The anticipation is almost unbearable isn't it watching for that first tiny sprout to show itself.
Wow! Where are you going to put all those plants? That is a great set-up for seed starting--very organized, and it looks as if you have everything you need. I usually have a small spray bottle of water (one pint) with 1 tsp. of baking soda in it to spray the seedlings with. It helps prevent damping off. Let us see the progress of your seedlings. It should be inspiring, to say the least!
After that really hard freeze a couple of weeks ago, I'm afraid some things won't come back. Luckily I harvested lots of seeds and may be able to replace some things. Also... there's the plant sale at the church later in the year. And well... to be honest... I just needed to play in the dirt and have something to tend to. Did I mention I have a bed that I'm expanding?
Yay! Im gonna start mine soon too! Ive started repairing my seeding trays (theyve got some cracks and Im too cheap to buy new ones lol) and will begin setting up the shelves any day now

Donna... I started some of those cantaloupes, the spicy bell peppers and a persimmon. The rest are flowers... lots of hibiscus and coneflowers and a variety of other things. I'm even trying to start some Turk's Cap. I divided the little pod and put them on one pot and left some more "whole" in another one.
Cheryl, Starting my peppers and tomatoes as soon as I get back from Ca. I think the turks cap berries have at least 4 seeds in each. I read to rub the outer skin off, but that did not work well. So I soaked one and opened it up, but it was hard to tell. I planted them anyway. Time will tell.
Lucky you! It's WAY too early to start anything here yet, but I am (not so) patiently counting the days.
Cheryl have you been taking pictures in my house again. I'm hoping to be able to move all this to the greenhouse by March 1st. The white paper is my garden map. It keeps me from getting lost or forgetting what I planted and where. And yes I messed up, this post should have been with the pic's.
Donna that post was originally from last year... but... if I took a photo right now, it would look the same (with the exception of a few sprouts).
