The birds generally fly into the trees if I go outside. I tried sitting in a lawn chair until they got used to me being outside and it does help. I love these trees with the blue sky in the background. birds waiting for me to leave ( photo / image / picture from dooley's Garden ) birds in trees ( photo / image / picture from dooley's Garden ) blue jay in the tree. I like to watch the birds in our trees too Dooley. Don't they look good on the bare branches with that lovely blue sky behind them?
Way cool, Dooley...but tell me--what kind of birds are they? I'll bet that eventually they will become used to your presence outside. I shall be keeping my eye open for more foto's. Good luck with your backyard friends.
Most of those are cardinals and there are blue jays, doves, sparrows and I saw a lovely pearl gray pigeon and a red headed woodpecker. I had some little yellow ones that looked like a sparrow. It was a common yellow throat. Some days we have those big black grackles, too. Sometimes brown thrushes. We always have two wild bird feeders and one sunflower feeder, all year around. Anytime you look out there birds are on the feeders or the ground. Sometimes just a few and sometimes the ground looks like it is moving. We have cardinals all year around, more in winter though. dooley
