This is a strange tale as I have never aproached a hermit thrush. A couple of days ago this one started coming to me. I have not seen many and a friend of mine, a real birder who travels all over the area here to see birds, even to the mainland, she has not seen one this year yet and has threatened to come to see mine. Anyway, it comes to me now when I go onto the deck or sit by the window. I now have to open the window and give it a few berries. Not a great picture, my first attempt, but taking it with one hand and the other streching out of the window, it is not easy.

You have a way with birds, so I guess that one will perch on your fingers very soon. :D
