So... leaving work today. I happened to notice it. What made me look? I never really pay attention to that thing. I knew I just had to get a photo of it. This just doesn't happen all the time. Maybe once in a lifetime if you're lucky and today was my day. I grinned with excitement. I had the camera at the ready. I played it out in my mind. I knew exactly where I needed to be. It wouldn't be long now. Okay... come on... I'm ready. Just a little bit more. Almost. Just a little more. Now.... STOP!!!

Impressive. Up here the salt erodes everything. I tried to get to 200,000 in my last van, but it was falling apart. The engine never ever had a problem, though. Go Snowball, go!

Lucky you! What a great rig Snowball is.

Although my Subaru has well over 211,000 miles some odometer piece that is connected to the spedometer went out. When they replaced it we started over at zero. It is my commute car, hauling/junking car and I can't imagine replacing it. A vehicle I have spend that much time in has become a part of me. :D

:D :D Frank I was thinking the same thing!! Well done on catching the mileage at just the right instant. I wonder how long it will take before it gets to all the threes?

Carolyn.... the salt's not that much of a problem here... unless you live down by the coast. Or drive up and down the beaches. Like I have. That's caused a couple of problems with rusty stuff underneath.

Jewell.... I LOVE Subarus. I owned 4 or 5 of them. They were the vehicle of choice in the mountains of New Mexico. I once had to use my little Subaru Station Wagon to beat a path out of my driveway so I could get my big ol' Jeep Cherokee out. :D
If Subaru ever made a full size pickup, I'd be the first in line to buy it.

Frank... I thought about that too. I mean... I thought about that TWO. :D
I'd have been so mad at myself. So that's why I pulled into the parking lot with about a half mile to go. And just circled and weaved and made sure I would be in a safe stopping spot when it clicked over.

Eileen... At a very minimum I drive 80 miles a day when I come to work. Weekends not so much, maybe 5 or 10 miles. Then there's those trips to here and there. Let's see. Approx. 20,000 a year... so another five years?? I don't know if he'll last that long... but it sure would be nice!

Netty... Glad I'm not alone! I don't pay that much attention to it, but I do keep an eye on it so I know when it's time to get an oil change.
And speaking of oil changes. I was going to have Snowball's oil changed this morning as a " thank you gift", but my mechanic was too busy. So maybe tomorrow. :stew2:

I watch the numbers too but since our youngest has pretty much claimed my car for hers I don't get to see the special sets of numbers very much any more. I have a photo of when our Galant rolled (yea, I know they don't roll anymore, they click but I like rolled better) 100000. It's on 151 thousand and something now and I missed seeing it at 151151 but when it gets to 152152 and 152251 maybe I will get to see it.

Congratulations Cherylad, 2 is most often considered a good number in Chinese culture as the saying "good things come in pairs". :)
