I just spent the perfect Saturday afternoon up-potting tomato seedlings while listening to a new Luciano Pavarotti CD, and sipping a glass of wine. If it gets better than this I won't be able to stand it!
That sounds MUCH better than MY day! While there was a blizzard outside, I did laundry and mopped the floors
It was pouring down rain here. We have .99 inches in the rain gauge about half an hour ago. I bet there is an inch now. Just gray and wet. dooley
I wish I'd been with you today instead of cooped up listening to the gales tossing everything around.
Went to Lehman's today. WOW! (check out their website) Ate at Yoder's Kitchen. STUFFED! Leisurely backroads drive home. Bluegrass on the radio. Two happy dogs when I came in the door. Grape and Orange Nehi, and RC Cola, in the fridge. Where's the Moon Pie? This hillbilly's heart is full.
Wish y'all could have been with me, too. That would have made my afternoon even more perfect! FBG, I get the Lehman's catalog (it is an Amish store with the most wonderful and useful products). In fact, that's where my favorite French bread pans came from.
OK Miss Jane, when'll the bread be ready? I'm ready to move to Texas anyway. Would they let an Old Hillbilly in?
Sugar, you'd be welcomed with open arms, and we'd even throw a barbecue for you! There's a small farm down the road that's for sale . . . .
Your Saturday sounds perfect, but the order should have been....wine, music and tomatoes. I was getting a Lehman's catalog back in the early 80's I think, many, many years ago anyway. They have probably dropped me off their list since back then I couldn't afford to buy anything from them.
I hope it ain't the kind where if you have to ask, you cain't.... I could get my arm twisted real easy like. I'm ready to blow this Popsicle stand. I'd have to have a job in town though.
Jane, It sounds like you had an awesome day! FBG, Lehmans is only 1/2 hour from my house. We just ate at Mrs. Yoders a couple weeks ago. Next time you come this direction shoot me a PM...we would come and visit with you. I would love to meet you.
