The local electric co-op sent the tree trimmers out to clear the right of way where the lines come in from my neighbors. There were only 3 small trees on my property that needed to come down. They took them down and cut into stove lengths for me. There was a bunch on my neighbors land that had to come down and he didn't want the wood, so I took it. I also had a dead elm along the drive way that I wanted down. I asked them what they would charge me to bring it down. There is no way they could say that it could damage the lines in a storm. It's about 200 feet from the line. They took it down and I got them a 12 pack of beer and several large Pepsie's. Total cost was $15. for about 4 cord of fire wood! :)

Now that's what I call a real bargain!! What nice guys they were to cut down the elm for you and cut all the wood into stove sized pieces. I'm sure they appreciated the drinks after all their hard work.
