Having to stay in while the renovation work is going on, I was able to enjoy this beautiful view through one of my windows from where my computer is. Pleasing sight ... While driving out around the corner, the road leading out of the housing estate was transformed into a beautiful sight with the trees in full bloom. Glad that all of you enjoyed it. I think it was the extreme hot weather before that causes them to show off their spectacular blooms. Carolyn they are tabebuia rosea which is not a native tree here. No there is no fragrance Sjoerd, just a beautiful sight. You are welcome Carolyn. I'm sorry Jerry, the weather here is difficult to explain with the changes in the environment. You are right about the flowering in relation to the transition from the wet season to 'less wet' season but there is no defined "Spring" here. Everyday is more or less the same for the whole year except we are getting lots of extended dry spell now. The rain only lasted about a week after a dry spell of about 3½ months. So I guess it is a very short monsoon. Hope I am able to satisfy your curiosity. Cayuga Morning, did I answer the question?
