Having to stay in while the renovation work is going on, I was able to enjoy this beautiful view through one of my windows from where my computer is.

Yesterday Sunday the workers off day and is freedom day for us to do whatever we need to outside the house. While driving out around the corner, the road leading out of the housing estate was transformed into a beautiful sight with the trees in full bloom.

What kind of trees are they, KK. They are beautiful no matter what, I was just wondering.

How wonderful that you can see one of them blooming just outside your window! You can sit at your computer, communing with us all at Gardenstew, & wax eloquently about the beautiful tree in sight.

Glad that all of you enjoyed it. I think it was the extreme hot weather before that causes them to show off their spectacular blooms.

Carolyn they are tabebuia rosea which is not a native tree here.

Barb I just need the temperature to be lowered to 18°C and it will be perfect :-D

    Eileen :-D :-D :-D

Cayuga Morning it sure bring peace and tranquility even though with all the hacking and knocking going on right now :-D Argh the jack hammer is just too LOUD!!!

    That bloom display is gorgeous!
Springtime in Malacca is stunning. Do the trees have a fragrance?

Thanks you for telling us what it is. I am not familiar with it at all and thought more along the lines of our crab apple, but it was too tall and slender for that.. Thanks! they are beautiful.

What a wonderful spring walk the trees make. Minus of course any sound of the jackhammer. Spring? Is spring more defined by what is flowering and a transition from the wet season to 'less wet' season? Monsoons are ending? Yes? :)

No there is no fragrance Sjoerd, just a beautiful sight.

    You are welcome Carolyn.

I'm sorry Jerry, the weather here is difficult to explain with the changes in the environment. You are right about the flowering in relation to the transition from the wet season to 'less wet' season but there is no defined "Spring" here. Everyday is more or less the same for the whole year except we are getting lots of extended dry spell now. The rain only lasted about a week after a dry spell of about 3½ months. So I guess it is a very short monsoon. Hope I am able to satisfy your curiosity.

Cayuga Morning, did I answer the question?
