I'm Dena and I'm not yet in Mandeville. We are moving down in two weeks. I'm in Birmingham, Alabama right now.

I'm excited as the house I'm moving into is a blank slate. It looks like someone made an effort a time ago but now it needs lots of love.

I was so happy to see other posters from Louisiana! I may (read will) have questions for y'all :)

Can't wait to go peek in the gallery. Nice to meet everyone!

Another French Settlement welcome. Great to have you on the "Stew". Fire away with those questions. We love them. Welcome also to Louisiana. We should have as many of us as those Texans have now. LOL

Hi Dena and welcome to the Stew :smt039 Make yourself at home and feel free to jump right in with any questions you may have.

"blank slate", now there's two words we enjoy hearing around here :D Seeing things take shape from scratch is fantastic and we can help you along the way.

Don't forget to add yourself to our member map if you want and there is a calendar to add your birthday and such ;)

    Thanks so much!

I'll need lots of help as it will be a big jump in zone for me.

I've already started a blog with pics to motivate myself and to get ideas.

Is there a place to put my design needs or wishes? I'd love to get input.

I will head over to garden design soon, thanks!

Thanks Toni! I'm a huge Texas fan! My nick is from a song from one of your native sons, Stevie Ray Vaughan. I happen to be his biggest fan :) Shoot, I'm a huge blues fan, from Texas to the Delta and all the little dives in between lol

Hello! I'm from Arizona and do not know much about Louisiana but I know about moving. It is such a challenge. What will you do first, inside or outside? Putting your mark on your house and making it your own will satisfying in the long run but such a lot of work. Or FUN if you don't stress over it. We'll help! We are good at helping. Welcome. Dooley
