Off the top of my head ,having had some falling down juice ,I only know one just now......magnolia But I will be back with more once I've checked my books
My Japanese Cherry is flowering now (February), and it's leafless. The blossoms are a really nice pink. I didn't think Magnolias shed all of their leaves at once, ever. They don't in South Carolina, anyway.
the ones i know of are flowering almonds and flowering quince and saucer magnolias (that's what they call them at our local gardening supply store :? )
The Redbud tree blooms in early spring. Ours has been blooming since late February and won't leaf out until sometime in April.
Jasmine has a great name i.e. Jasminum Nudiflorum which means the nude flowered jasmine . It flowers when it has no leaves 8) Bugs
I've tried growing wisteria in my garden but sadly they don't seem to like out Scottiah weather.
Oh Eileen I wish wisteria would work for you It's so beautiful and smells wonderful. But it can be really invasive here
Do all fruit trees blossom before leafing out? Our apricot trees have blossoms but no leaves yet. I know apple trees get blossoms first too. I have a dwarf Dutch iris that bloomed right out of the ground without leaves or a stem. I think it is this confusing weather because the others are growing leaves and stems and haven't blossomed yet. Dooley
Well, duh, I look at the peach tree every day when I am out there and of course it has blossoms before the leaves appear. Looking at something everyday doesn't necessarily mean my brain in engaged at the time. :?
Oh Julie that's lovelyhow I wish it were growing in my garden though. I think the north winds and all the cold, damp weather stops it growing here. Never mind at least now I have a beautiful photograph to look at. Thank you.
