I get out once in a while and wander the garden to pull a few weeds or take photos, but since I am not supposed to stay in the sun very long while taking this antibiotic I'm not out there very long. Darn bug! Do you remember the HUGE orange Cosmos that grew in my yard last year? They are back and have multiplied, plus there are seedlings of the smaller versions further down the path. By the time they start blooming it will be too hot for me to be out there so I won't miss having the path. There are several this size and oodles of the smaller ones.. 2 week old seedling is 12 inches in diameter already ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) I did not expect these to return, they suffered so much last year I had decided not to replace them...wonder if they will bloom? returning Callas ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) I had a Camelot Foxglove out front in too much shade last year, it looked so sad but circumstances prevented me from getting it moved before it died. These are in the backyard and get full mid-morning to early-afternoon sun and are happy as lark. Foxglove ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) I mentioned the other day in Cheryl's lily topic that my Daylilies had not started blooming yet but almost overnight they started their show. Sedum 'Autumn Joy' ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) I have 5 of these sweeties forming on the plants and more plants waiting their turn since I staggered the plantings. Seems so odd to me to see Sedum in bloom in June! Lovely blooms Toni, I like the mottled Petunia a lot.
Toni,I think you have mastered your garden. All the right plants in the right places... and all you have to do is sit back and watch the show! Love the Daylilies... glad they heard you talking about them. I LOVE the mottled Petunias... haven't seen anything like them before. I have one Sedum and it hasn't shown any signs of blooming. Looking very very good over there. Now go back inside and leave those plants alone!
Wow! Everything is up and busting out of the ground. Plants sure do everything in a hurry where you are. It is looking very good, nice job!
You are right about that--they are doing VERY well. Everything that you have shown is looking so good. Those orange cosmea are remarkable. I have planted s few this year, but I don't know if they will grow to be as beautiful as yours. We shall see. Anyway--great flowers, miss.
Hi Toni,..delighted to see you are nearly 100% better. Lovely display of Daylily and oh i like those Petunias very striking,..your Callas are looking healthy as well,..mine are just above ground.
