This is a nice treat. I love the clover. Who in the world would throw out a Poppy??? Doesn't it make you wonder why????
Silly neighbour. Imagine throwing out Ladybird Poppies!! I'm so glad you took them. I like your new arrival (Delosperma peridot) with it's yellow, white and yellow flowers.
Very striking Poppy,..lucky you to salvage it,..don't forget to collect the seeds,..ah i am very fond of Campanula,..great to see the Bee's,..they are aplenty here just now.
Barb,it was because they were so successful in their garden and these were the excess. Netty, over the years we have swapped several plants and shrubs. When we had our front garden remodelled about 10years ago they had a couple of the more unusual shrubs which are now thriving there so all in all we must be about level pegging. Eileen, too much of a good thing and they were taking over their border.I think the delosperma is very pretty too-and drought resistant apparently, although I'm not sure that is going to be relevant this year... Thanks Cheryl,I hope they are. Philip,I hadn't thought that far ahead but perhaps might have done a spur-of the-moment collection. Glad you have plenty of bees too.
