It's all done except the planting. One load of 10 year old horse manure and lots of sweat. The plants are all hibiscus that I grew from seed. As soon as they bloom I will decide which ones to plant or sell. They are free to any stewbie that want to come pick them up. The man selling the manure said he was retiring in a couple of weeks so he just about gave it to me. 3 buckets per truck load for $20.00. He said new owner was going to double the price when he take over. Going to get one more load first part of the week. I feel like I struck it rich. I had already decided to add more Hibiscus to the gardens this fall after seeing Cheryl's blooms, now I can't wait to see yours in bloom too. A garden bed filled with Hibiscus...I could do that!!
Hi Donna,..lovely shape on your new garden and i like the stones,..wow 10 year old horse manure,..now that makes me smile for some reason,..your blooms will be in abundance with that nutrition added to your soil,..will you have to dilute it? or due to its age perhaps not,..well done you got a good deal there.
Hi Philip, The HM can go straight into the gardens. I've been top dressing everything this week. I expect to see a difference in a few days.
