Aww poor thing!! I'd just have to buy a doughnut and give him a piece (even although I know it's not good for him) but a little of what you fancy wouldn't go amiss and I think he deserves it.
What is it about Golden Retrievers that just rips your heart out? They have to be the cutest, most personable dogs in the world, and also doughnut fiends! Eileen, I agree, half a doughnut wouldn't hurt--half for me, half for you!
Personally I have been tempted to do that when passing by a Neuhaus Chocolate Store or a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory store. I have told Randy to keep hold of my hand to get me passed either of those.
