Yes what use could you make of this single bed in your garden,..or shed,..now if you were Cheryl or Toni right away ideas would come to mind,..i do know what i am going to do but will keep it to myself until i start and can post a picture of the first stage,..oh the bed was unwanted by my neighbor who purchased a bigger bed and her son in law took the mattress to the dump,..no room to take the bed so i rescued it like a good gardener ( photo / image / picture from Philip Nulty's Garden )
I would probably turn the headboard into a sign ... pound the posts in and paint it with 'Welcome' or something like that. OR make a flower 'bed' in front of the headboard.
Hi Netty,..good idea about the Headboard,..in fact i forgot that something could be used with it,..lol you have me thinking in mid post,..mmmmm something else to occupy my mind and hands. Well this evening i got stuck into my little project,..removed most of the material from the bed,..removed most of the lathes,..what you see in the picture still leaves me with seven lathes to play around with,..oh i intend standing it the other way around,..soooo it will end up as a free standing shelf unit in my shed,..i must admit i am very pleased with myself. Thanks folks,..when it was decided to dump the entire bed i remembered seeing a firm constructing one and realized there was a lot of good wood under the material,..it was only then i hit me not to take it apart and store the wood but to make use of the frame itself,..due to heavy drizzle today further work is delayed
