This is my calla lily and they keep drooping no matter how much I water or don't water. Ideas?? What's inside?

There is no photo. Did you upload one all the way. Mine sometimes take a long time to finish loading.

Make sure the photo has been sized to no wider than 500 pixels and don't forget to click on the photo as the last step to embed it in the post.

Do they perk up later, when the sun is not so intense? Are they perky in the morning, only to droop a bit mid-day? If so, I suspect it is nothing more than the plant not quite having enough root structure to deal with the intensity of the sun. I find this happens with various plants, particularly earlier in the season.

I see you have mulched the lilies & if you are watering regularly, all should be fine. The only other thing I can think of is if you have some rooting critter munching on the roots, but the plant looks too healthy for that to be the case.

Actually, it looks pollinated to me and the weight of the seed pods is too heavy for the stem. I would pick it off it was mine. While any plant is making seeds it takes an enormous amount of it energy just for that. Picking it off diverts the energy to flower production instead. Don't forget to fertilize with a higher P and K and not a high N for the fertilizer ratio.

Carolyn, I think you might be right. The rest of the plant isn't drooping. It's just the flower & those look like some mega seeds in there.

I agree....the flower is finished and the heads change and fill up with seeds ...I always trim mine off so they look better. I love calla lilys and wish they would last longer. This year when I planted them in containers, I planted some cosmos around them, I can't wait to see if it works out with doing it that way.
