Day time after the plastic has been taken off.

    Night time this evening.

I just love our greenhouse. It's all glass, 14 by 26. I don't get to see it like this often for we put plastic on it over the Winter and when we take it off but must put the shade cloth in really quick for things sunburn quickly in there. So I don't get to see it like this often.

I don't know if they still do it today but a neighbor at my folks summer place had a greenhouse, he would put lime on the glass for the summer. No details. As a city slicker a whole building devoted to plants was a wonder. For me, plants grew in the cracks of the sidewalk and people had lawns guarded by walls with sharp rocks. Elm trees shaded the sidewalks. But a greenhouse? Flowers were everywhere, the lime scattered the light, the place smelled great. I always like to visit and see what was growing.

Thanks everyone. Years ago we had a table in the back where it doesn't water and we had company at the table for breakfast or brunch. Everyone loved it. A little refrigerator and we were good to go. I haven't done that in a long time. I think I will snatch my daughters wine fridge out of the garage sale stuff and put it in the greenhouse.

Jerry Sullivan, Oh yes. They add water to lime and put it on the outside glass of the greenhouse to defuse light. I have never done that. It wouldn't be pretty just like the shade cloth isn't. I will just enjoy the clear shiny glass for this week or so and then on goes the shade cloth.
