Donna, if I bring the DVD, will you pop the corn and we'll all have a night of it? I like a bit of butter and salt on mine . . . .
Barb, I try to grow something different every year. I grew popcorn for my GK"s. this year. I wanted them to see how it grew and how we popped corns when I was a kid. I've been looking for a popper from my day, but now they are antigue and very expensive. Netty, I found it easy to grow. Drying it is the tricky part. Jane, Don't for get the wine. Cheryl & KK, Thanks.
Donna... if you have a deep cast iron pot or skillet, you can pop them in that. Just add some oil to the bottom.
I always wanted to grow that, for it's beauty in the ears, and it's practicality...tell me..are the stalks pretty too? Pics welcome!
Growergirl, The stalks look like regular corn, but not as tall. You have to let the ears dry on the stalks. So stalks are gone now that I have picked it all. What you see in picture came from 8 stalks.
