I started adding more phlox this year for color later in our season....and what a surprise to find 2 of these small young rabbits. I don't think they will be around long, they let me walk close-by while they are sunning themselves and eating the clover. I don't mind them in the flowers, that is their favorite spot . I fear the hawk will swoop done one of these days and pick one up, they just don't know when to be scared or who to be scared of...

That rabbit looks guilty. I'll bet he won't tell you what he had for dinner.

I love phlox! I don't so much love the bunnies though... they have made a real mess of the garden this year.

It seems unfair that something so cute can be so destructive. Great photos Sherry!

I know I have at least two of them that have been sunning themselves in the yard...my cairn is watching closely and I can't keep an eye on him all of the time. They seem to love the clover in the yard the most, at least I haven't noticed too much destroyed yet besides damage done by strong winds and rain. I have noticed a few bites of a low tomato but I think that was from the chipmunks that run around . I usually plant a small cherry tomato plant for them but I forgot this year...that way they would leave the larger ones alone.

Those little guys are cute!!!! The phlox are pretty too! I think I need to invest in more phlox. I have one HUGE plant that I have moved all over the yard. It tends to get too big for wherever I put it. If I had a "Phlox Bed"....... :D

Well, I already have the cute little bunnies. I just didn't have the Phlox. We picked up 3 today, different colors. One is variegated.

I have always loved Phlox, but just never got around go adding it to my garden. Now I have the flower and the pet, just like you Sherry8.

stratsmom.... Thank you...I wish I had one huge flower bed with paths through it...then I could put every flower that I like it in...I do think it would be a challenge and when we sold, I think some would frown on all of the work :(

waretrop...not many plants to buy around here any more, not a good year for plants. Especially annuals. My challenge is getting at the phlox or into the areas that need more plants without breaking off lilies and other plants. My number of bunnies keep growing...or should I say multiplying? Mom and Dad seem to be in the flower bed too, I just noticed them under the feeders. Thank you...I would love to see the colors of your phlox.
