Naan Pizza? Is there really such a thing? Because Pizza is Italian in origin, while Naan bread is Middle Eastern and Central Asian. So how can the 2 meet? Well, on top of my table they now do!! :D

Just go here to learn exactly how to make Naan bread!
    http://mideastfood.about.com/od/breadsr ... recipe.htm
    Or see this video:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J19sRT45FF0

Now putting Pizza toppings over it is the same as making any ordinary Pizza.

Wish I had more pictures to share of this (as I just made it a few minutes ago) - But with something this good on the table, it somehow vanishes very quickly in my home...

Anyway, this was the cultural collision of today - Italian/Mediterranean + Middle Eastern/Central Asian + Far Eastern kung-Fu fighting (over food) in my home [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZ9e3Dy7obA ]!

    :smt044

I love naan bread so much and never thought of it being a pizza base. But now that you mention it S-H it makes perfect sense!

We've been making pizza on Naan's for about a year now. They make a great after school snack. I do not make my Naan, I buy them, but yummy none the less. Recently we discovered that PC makes a small round Naan ... SO good!

Last summer my son and I read up on other countries, one of which was India. Once we finished each book, we would venture out and find a restaurant serving the food from that country. Naan bread was about the only thing he remembers about our adventures, he asked for seconds and third servings! Your pizza looks delicious S-H. Are those home grown veggies on top?

Usually yes, all of my vegetables are home grown (as I personally detest anything which is commercially grown, due to the use of pesticides) - But this time I was running really low on my vegetables, so had no choice but to buy these from the store...

Naan Pizza are delicious and tastes yummy.
I mostly make Naan Pizza from the remaining dough of Naan or leftover Naans.
