Donna, that is a great show! A neighbor gave me a moonflower start, but since I've never grown them I didn't know what to expect. Thanks to your great photo I'm looking forward to seeing a bloom. :-D

I had them once, and since they only bloomed at night, I never got to see them.

I would love to try moonflowers. I often sit outside at night, and I've heard they smell wonderful.
I'd be willing to trade for seeds :)

    *edited to say great picture!

Very pretty, Donna. I threw a bunch of old seeds out under my dying cedar tree and planned to use it as a trellis for whatever came up. Some were the moon flower seeds others were the dark blue morning glories. The morning glories came up and are blooming, but maybe the moon flower seeds were too old. Yours look like they have heart shaped leaves, so I am not sure if I could tell the difference between the MG's and the moon flowers until they bloom or if they bloom.

growergirl, Remind me this fall and if I have any seeds I will send you some.

Carolyn, The morning glories will probably chock them out. Moon flower leaves are a lot bigger then morning glory leaves.

I will have to check tomorrow in the daylight since there is none out there right now... By the light of the moon... even if it is supposed to be brighter tonight than any other time this year, Nope! I think I will do it tomorrow. I need to go to bed. I don't think there were any huge leaves when I looked at them last, only heart shaped ones of mostly the same size.

Quite impressive, Donna. You grow some nice things there.
I think that this is the first time that I have seen a moonflower in a good perspective. They are huge.

Very pretty. Mine are still struggling to get through the jungle that is my garden. They have a stool to climb up, but havent reached the top yet. Are they fragrant?
