Today is the day for me to make croissant and Danish after preparing the dough for the last 2 days ... Yippee!!! Lovely Butter Croissant!!! The shape of the Danish is a bit out but they taste real good and the croissants ahh perfect ... yum! Next time in a couple of months or so the Danish will also be perfect. :-D Join me for tea? You want KK to save them for a couple of months? Then drizzle some white icing over them? Will that make them taste better? I think they look good enough to eat right now.
KKNg, those look delicious, both the croissants and the Danish. However, as my husband tells me when I make something he particularly likes, "it's almost perfect. Just a little more practice . . . ." So keep practicing, and ship any "failures" to any Stewie!

Eileen where are you? While waiting for you I had one and another then Becky join in, my eldest daughter came back and a friend drop by and there were only 2 croissant left. Actually I kept the 2 hidden and just had them for breakfast with sunny side egg and homemade bacon ... yum!!! Sorry Eileen Thanks Sjoerd, I believe that the Danish will be more presentable for my next batch instead of odd shape sizes :-D . No I do not drizzle white icing sugar over them before eating them ... they are good as it is. Thanks Barb, they are really good. Sjoerd--I am guessing that 'Danish' in West Friesland is something one keeps around for a l-o-n-g time. Maybe its like fruitcake. I hope it has a better reputation.
